About Me

My name is Alan Nochenson. I am currently in my Senior year at Carnegie Mellon  studying Information Systems. My research is currently focused on decision-making in network security. I recently submitted my first paper entitled “Identifying Tipping Points in a Game-Theoretic Model of Network Security” with Professor Larry Heimann as part of a senior honors thesis. This past summer (2011) I worked at Zynga in the Social Messaging and Communications team. This coming summer (2012) I will again be working at Zynga as an engineer, this time on the security team. I will be graduating in May 2012, and (hopefully) proceeding to a Ph. D. program.

I’ve worked on numerous project over the years. Please take a look at the finished products, or the source code over at Github. Some of them are a bit “rougher” than others. But, they’ve all been fully-functional – even if they haven’t been widely used (yet).

Here’s a copy of my latest resumé. I suggest you visit my LinkedIn as well. It may not be as flashy, but it has some nice info about the companies I’ve worked for, and some endorsements from former co-workers of mine.
